Anil Bhima
I'm a certified product manager and a UX designer — both, deliberately. You know the story about the six blind men and the elephant — one feels the leg and swears it's a tree, another the trunk and calls it a snake, each man claiming something different for the part he holds? Product without design, or design without product, works a lot like that. Holding both — the quant and the qual — is what lets me see the whole elephant.
This double lens runs through every project in this portfolio: a product manager's nose for what's worth building, and a designer's ear for what users are really saying and eye for the small details — the combination that lets me champion what users actually need and ship something that genuinely delights.
I took my own idea from a napkin to a living product back in the early iPhone era (think iPhone 3) — it picked up a UCL innovation award along the way — then helped a fair few founders do the same, and worked with companies at all stages on whatever the brief needed in between. If you feel you have something I can help with, I'm always happy to talk — no pitch deck required.
A street photographer, given a camera and a city.
I picked up a camera during the 2020 lockdown and pointed it at London. I love combining my two favourite things — walking and photography — and street photography is my jam. Paired with a leave-the-phone-at-home policy, a Casio watch and a Sony Walkman in aeroplane mode, it's my Zen day — my twist on a screen-off digital detox for a precious few hours.
Still on the 1210s.
I still collect music and it's my Qobuz subscription that gathers dust! I fuel the design and the project work with the perfect soundtrack pulled off these shelves — the quickest way I know to get into the flow, and stay there.
A regular in London's galleries.
I'm a member of a handful of them. A good exhibition just inspires me, and I love meeting interesting, like-minded people while I'm there.
